NEW ORGANISATION STRUCTURE FOR MAP
The year 2007 calls for a consolidation and streamlining of our organisation in order to remain fit and trim. The new organisation of Mitutoyo Asia Pacific (MAP) has been structured with the aim of meeting the new challenges of the New Year. The new organization will take effect from 1 January 2007.
Under the new organization, Mr. K.C. Ong will be designated as the Vice President of MAP, reporting to the Board of Directors in Japan. Mr. Etsuo Matsunaka, who has years of experience in corporate functions will be designated as Director of MAP, and will be stationed in Singapore to oversee the Japanese customers and expatriate Japanese staff.
The new organisation structure is composed of five departments: Technical Services, End-user Sales, Distributor Sales, Logistics, and Corporate Administration. These five departments will have their line functions, supported by various groups and specialists. Besides performing line functions relating to the domestic market, these departments will also supervise MAP overseas subsidiaries and representative offices in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam.
With this restructuring, MAP is set to improve its customer services further, and poised to meet the challenges ahead.
