	MITUTOYO WON GOLD AWARD IN THE WORLDMEDIAFESTIVAL - HAMBURG, GERMANY
	Mitutoyo Asia Pacific’s production of “The Philosophy of Yehan Numata” a film on the life and philosophy of the late founder of Mitutoyo won the prestigious Gold Award in ‘Internal Communications category in the WorldMediaFestival held recently in Hamburg, Germany. Produced by Mitutoyo Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (Singapore) for Mitutoyo Corporation, Japan, and engaging the creativity and expertise in filming and postproduction of Jigsaw Productions Sdn. Bhd. the entry is the first-ever win for Singapore to be awarded the Gold Award in this prestigious competition. A jubilant Mr. Toshihide Numata, Chairman of Mitutoyo Corporation, Japan thanked the staff, the production company Jigsaw Productions and all concerned for their efforts and contributions towards making this video. He said, “This award is recognition and a reminder for us to continue to work on the legacy left behind by the late founder, Yehan Numata.”

		WorldmediaFestival Intermedia-Globe Gold Certificate

	Founded in 2000, the WorldMediaFestival-global competition for modern media has quickly risen to become one of the premier events of its kind, whose awards are highly prized by communications professionals around the world. The intermedia-globe-Gold Award recognizes true excellence in modern media communication. Experienced professionals from around the world in the field of film and video production, as well as subject matter experts, serve in a volunteer capacity as judges. The criteria they use include writing, sound, editing, creativity, visuals, insights, and above all the extent to which the programme meets its stated goals and communicates with its intended audience Winners are recognized at the Annual WorldMediaFestival Awards Ceremony, in a two- day event on 9 – 10 May 2006 in Hamburg Germany. Throughout the day of the awards ceremony attendees can view winning programmes, hear professional presentations and meet and discuss their craft with their international peers. The second day culminates in an evening gala, which includes dinner and entertainment in addition to the awards presentation. The competition attracted entries from the following nations: Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Jugoslavia, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, USA.
